LifeTradeoffs

LifeTradeoffs connects to your bank, categorizes transactions, and forces a simple but uncomfortable question: “What did this purchase replace?” You set 3–5 priorities (e.g., health, family time, travel, debt freedom). The app translates spending into tradeoffs using your own constraints: hours of work, days delayed to a goal, or monthly budget pressure. It then prompts quick reflections on recurring categories (food delivery, subscriptions, impulse buys) and builds a “Regret Index” based on your own answers over time—not generic shame. Weekly, it generates a one-page review: top misaligned spends, the specific goals they pushed back, and one concrete change to test next week. It’s not a full budgeting suite; it’s a clarity tool that sits on top of your existing bank data and makes priorities painfully visible.
