LiftLine
LiftLine is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that predicts lift wait times and crowding by time of day, day of week, and weather—so skiers can plan runs, breaks, and even which resort to choose. It blends public resort data (lift status, terrain openings), weather forecasts, historical patterns, and anonymized on-mountain signals (optional background location + user-submitted “line check” taps) to produce practical, confidence-scored predictions. The app focuses on being useful even with low user volume by leaning heavily on historical/forecast modeling, then gets better as more skiers contribute quick reports. It also offers “route suggestions” like: avoid base lifts 10:30–12:00, hit back bowls 9:00–10:15, then lunch. Realistically, accuracy will vary by resort and storm days, so the product must show uncertainty clearly and avoid overpromising.
