LineageLens

LineageLens is a web app (with optional CLI) that auto-builds end-to-end data lineage across warehouses, ETL/ELT tools, BI dashboards, and notebooks—without a months-long “metadata project.” It connects to systems like Snowflake/BigQuery/Databricks, dbt, Airflow, and Looker/Tableau, then parses query logs, dbt manifests, and job metadata to map where each metric and table comes from and who depends on it. The product focuses on the unglamorous reality: partial coverage, inconsistent naming, and undocumented transformations. It provides impact analysis (what breaks if this table changes), owner routing (who to notify), and a lightweight “evidence trail” for audits. It’s not a full governance suite; it’s a pragmatic lineage and blast-radius tool that teams can deploy quickly and actually keep up to date.
