LineageLens

LineageLens is a web app (with optional CLI) that auto-discovers end-to-end data lineage across warehouses, ETL/ELT tools, and BI dashboards, then flags what will break before you deploy changes. It connects read-only to systems like Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift, dbt, Airflow, and Looker/Tableau, parses query logs and metadata, and builds a dependency graph from source tables to metrics. The MVP focuses on one painful reality: teams don’t know who or what depends on a column until something breaks. You get impact analysis (“dropping column X breaks 14 models and 3 dashboards”), change alerts in Slack, and a lightweight catalog view that’s actually usable. This is not a generic ‘data catalog’—it’s a focused, pragmatic lineage and impact tool that can be set up in hours, not months.
