LinerNotes

LinerNotes is a mobile + web AI music discovery companion that adds context to what you already listen to. Connect Spotify/Apple Music, and it generates short, source-linked “why this fits” notes for recommended songs: shared producers, samples, band members, label scenes, tour lineups, and genre micro-histories. Instead of endless playlists, it gives you a daily “3-track thread” with a clear narrative and a one-tap save to your library. The app also lets you ask questions like “more like this chorus, but darker” and returns a small, explainable set of picks rather than a firehose. Brutal truth: you won’t beat Spotify’s algorithm on pure relevance; you win by making discovery feel intentional and trustworthy, with receipts. Monetization is freemium: limited daily threads free, unlimited threads + advanced filters paid.
