LineSight

LineSight is a web + mobile geospatial app that helps contractors and utility coordinators reduce “unknowns” around underground and overhead assets before excavation or project bids. Users draw a planned work area, then the app pulls together authoritative layers (public utility maps where available, parcel boundaries, right-of-way, elevation, and recent aerial imagery) and lets teams attach field photos, notes, and marked-up sketches. It includes a lightweight field workflow for documenting potholing results and as-built corrections, producing a shareable “pre-dig packet” for crews and stakeholders. This is not magic: many utility records are incomplete, and the app will clearly label confidence and data provenance to avoid dangerous overreliance. The value is in consolidating scattered sources, standardizing documentation, and making risk visible early—before schedule slips and change orders.
