LinkLatch
LinkLatch is a mobile app (iOS/Android) plus a parent web dashboard that blocks and explains risky links kids encounter in texts, social apps, email, and browsers. It works by intercepting shared URLs via a keyboard/share-sheet and optional VPN-based filtering, then scoring them for phishing, scams, adult content, malware, and impersonation. Kids get a simple, non-alarming warning and a short “why this is risky” lesson; parents get a weekly digest, not constant panic notifications. The brutally honest part: you cannot fully monitor encrypted chats or every in-app browser without invasive device management, and big incumbents already offer broad parental controls. So LinkLatch focuses narrowly on the most common real-world failure mode—kids tapping sketchy links—and makes it fast, understandable, and low-drama. Schools can optionally deploy a lightweight policy profile for managed devices.
