LinkLobe
LinkLobe is a web app that generates practical coverage maps for satellite communications—focused on what operators actually need: where a link will close, not just where a beam exists. Users select a satellite (TLE/ephemeris), frequency band, antenna patterns, EIRP, ground terminal specs, and required availability. The app outputs time-animated coverage, contour maps (C/N0, Eb/N0, margin), and “service hours per day” layers for any region. It also supports scenario comparison (before/after antenna tilt, different gateways, different modulation/coding thresholds) and exports GIS-friendly rasters and GeoJSON for planning decks. This is not a pretty planet viewer; it’s a planning tool that reduces back-and-forth between RF engineers and business teams. Realistically, accuracy depends on input quality and propagation models, so the MVP should clearly label assumptions and uncertainty.
