LinkProof
LinkProof is a browser extension plus companion web app that scores the credibility and freshness of any page you’re viewing, then generates a shareable “source card” you can paste into Slack, email, or social posts. It checks for signals people actually care about: publication date clarity, author identity, citations/outbound links, domain history, paywall/affiliate disclosure, and whether key claims appear elsewhere. It also flags common traps like recycled content, AI-spun pages, and “updated” timestamps that don’t match real changes. The goal isn’t to be a truth oracle (that’s unrealistic); it’s to reduce accidental sharing of low-quality or outdated info and to make lightweight due diligence fast. Teams can set policies (e.g., minimum score) and keep an audit trail of what was shared and why.
