LoanLens

LoanLens is a web app (with a lightweight mobile companion) for museums, galleries, and independent curators to manage artwork loans and exhibitions end-to-end. It replaces brittle spreadsheets and email threads with a single workflow: incoming/outgoing loan requests, condition reports, packing/shipping milestones, insurance values, lender requirements, and deadline reminders. Staff can capture condition photos on-site, generate standardized PDF reports, and maintain an audit trail of changes for accountability. It also includes a simple “lender portal” where collectors can approve terms, upload documents, and see status updates without gaining access to internal systems. This is a combination traditional + AI app: AI helps extract key fields from loan agreements and shipping documents, and flags missing requirements (e.g., COI, climate specs). It’s not glamorous, but it targets a real operational bottleneck that causes costly mistakes.
