LocalLoop is a mobile + web app that helps thrift stores and resale shops sell faster by letting shoppers see new arrivals in real time and reserve items for short pickup windows. Instead of competing with giant marketplaces, it focuses on what they can’t do well: local inventory that changes hourly and is painful to browse. Shops snap 3-5 photos per item, set a quick price, and the app auto-generates a clean listing with size/brand/category. Shoppers follow nearby stores, get alerts for saved searches (e.g., “men’s 32x32 jeans”), and reserve with a small refundable hold fee to reduce no-shows. Stores get a simple dashboard for intake, holds, and pickup verification. This is not glamorous: it’s operational software disguised as shopping, built to reduce time on the floor answering calls and to move inventory before it gets stale.
