LockoutBuddy is a mobile + web app for managing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) steps with real-world friction removed. Instead of generic checklists, it guides technicians through equipment-specific isolation procedures using QR/NFC scans on machines, forcing the right sequence: identify energy sources, verify isolation, apply locks, and capture proof. Supervisors get a live dashboard showing who is locked out, where, and for how long, with automatic escalation if a lockout exceeds a threshold or a verification step is skipped. It stores auditable records (photos, timestamps, signatures) that are actually usable during incident investigations or compliance audits. This is not glamorous software; it’s operational safety plumbing. The value is fewer near-misses, faster audits, and less downtime caused by confusion, missing procedures, or “tribal knowledge” walking out the door.
