LogCanary

LogCanary is a web app (with optional desktop agent) for anomaly detection in application logs and operational events, aimed at teams drowning in noisy alerts. It ingests logs from common sources (CloudWatch, Datadog, Elastic, syslog), learns normal patterns per service/endpoint, and flags unusual error bursts, latency-related log signatures, and rare event sequences that precede incidents. Instead of generic “anomaly detected,” it generates a short incident brief: what changed, which services/users are impacted, and the top suspicious log templates with links to raw context. It also supports “release-aware” baselines so deploys don’t trigger constant false positives. Realistically, this won’t replace full observability suites; it’s a focused add-on that reduces time-to-detection and triage effort for small-to-mid teams that can’t tune rules all day.
