LogDrift
LogDrift is a web app that continuously monitors your cloud logging and observability spend (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, GCP Logging, and common vendors) and pinpoints the exact services, deployments, and teams causing sudden log-volume and ingestion-cost spikes. It correlates cost anomalies with recent deploys, config changes (log level, sampling, retention), and traffic shifts, then recommends concrete fixes like lowering verbosity, adding sampling, tightening retention, or routing noisy logs to cheaper storage. It also enforces guardrails: per-service log budgets, automatic alerts to Slack, and optional “break-glass” policies that temporarily clamp retention or block known-noisy patterns during incidents. This is not a generic cost dashboard; it’s purpose-built for the messy reality of logs: high cardinality, runaway debug flags, and surprise vendor overages. Expect some setup friction, but the savings can be immediate.
