LossLens

LossLens is a web app (with optional desktop Excel add-in) that helps actuarial and pricing teams quickly diagnose and explain premium and loss ratio movement across renewals, states, and segments. It ingests rating extracts, policy/claim triangles, and exposure data, then runs standardized decompositions (mix shift, trend, benefit changes, underwriting actions, capping, reinsurance, and model/relativity updates). The output is a regulator- and management-friendly narrative pack: waterfall charts, driver tables, assumption logs, and reproducible calculations tied to source files. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: traditional analytics for the math, plus AI to draft plain-English explanations, flag anomalies, and suggest which drivers are most likely responsible for unexpected movement. It does not replace pricing models; it reduces the time wasted reconciling “why did the rate move?” across messy data and inconsistent internal spreadsheets.
