LunchLedger
LunchLedger is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that focuses on one expensive habit: weekday lunch and coffee runs. Instead of trying to be a full budgeting app, it tracks only food-away-from-home purchases during work hours and turns them into simple, actionable limits. Users connect a bank account (or forward email receipts) and the app auto-categorizes lunch, cafés, and delivery, then shows a “remaining for this week” meter. It nudges users before typical purchase times and suggests realistic alternatives: nearby cheaper options, bringing lunch X days, or setting a hard cap for delivery. It also highlights patterns like ‘$9 coffee becomes $180/month’ and compares your spend to your own baseline, not national averages. The goal is behavior change through narrow scope, not perfect accounting.
