LuxLayout is a mobile + web AI app that helps homeowners and designers plan room lighting with fewer costly surprises. You scan a room with your phone (LiDAR if available, otherwise guided photo capture) and place virtual recessed cans, pendants, sconces, and lamps. The app simulates brightness, beam spread, glare risk, and rough color temperature impact using simplified photometrics and real fixture IES files when available. It then outputs a practical shopping list (fixture counts, bulb types, dimmer compatibility) and a “red flag” report (overlighting, dark corners, TV glare, mirror shadows, bad spacing). This is not Hollywood-grade rendering; it’s a fast decision tool to avoid common layout errors and reduce returns. Monetization: subscription for pros, per-project for homeowners, and affiliate/referral revenue from fixture retailers (careful: keep recommendations transparent).
