MacroProof

MacroProof is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps macro trackers stop lying to themselves—accidentally. Instead of relying on crowdsourced entries and vague restaurant data, it focuses on “verified” meals: you snap a photo of the food plus the packaging/label or menu, and the app builds a macro estimate with a confidence score and a clear audit trail (what it used, what it assumed, and what’s uncertain). It’s not magic: it won’t pretend to know exact macros for homemade meals without inputs. The app nudges you to add the missing pieces (weight, ingredients, cooking oil) and shows how each assumption changes protein/carbs/fat. Over time it learns your repeat meals and creates reusable templates. The goal is fewer tracking errors, less time spent searching databases, and more honest adherence.
