MaintnMate

MaintnMate is a web app (with optional GitHub app integration) that turns chaotic issue and PR queues into a lightweight, repeatable maintainer workflow. It auto-triages incoming issues, suggests labels, detects duplicates, and drafts polite, consistent responses for common situations (missing repro, wrong repo, support request, stale PR). It also generates a weekly “maintainer digest” that highlights high-risk items: security-related reports, long-waiting PRs, and threads with escalating sentiment. The goal isn’t to replace maintainers—it’s to reduce the unpaid admin work that causes projects to stall. The MVP focuses on GitHub first, because that’s where most open-source work happens, and keeps configuration minimal: a few rules, canned templates, and a small set of project priorities. It’s realistic: it won’t magically fix governance or funding, but it can save hours per week.
