MandateMap

MandateMap is a web app (with optional desktop add-in) for small-to-mid asset managers who struggle to translate investment guidelines into daily, testable constraints. Users upload an IPS/mandate (PDF/Word) and the app extracts key rules (e.g., issuer limits, sector caps, ESG exclusions, duration bands, concentration thresholds). A human-in-the-loop editor lets compliance or PMs confirm each rule, set calculation methods, and assign it to portfolios. The system then runs pre-trade and post-trade checks via integrations to holdings/order data, producing an audit trail of breaches, exceptions, approvals, and remediation notes. It’s not a magic “AI replaces compliance” tool; it’s a workflow product that reduces manual interpretation, spreadsheet drift, and missed constraints. The MVP focuses on a narrow set of common mandate clauses and a clean exception workflow rather than trying to cover every asset class and edge case on day one.
