MarkDownMap

MarkDownMap is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers locate genuine outlet and clearance deals nearby and online, without wasting time on inflated “was” prices. It combines user-submitted shelf tags/receipts with lightweight AI verification to estimate whether a discount is real (based on recent price history, comparable listings, and crowd confirmations). Users can follow specific brands, sizes, and product categories, then get alerts when a store hits deeper markdown phases (e.g., 30% → 50% → 70%). A simple “Deal Confidence” score flags questionable promos and highlights high-probability steals. The app also supports store maps for outlets, letting users plan a route and see which locations have recent confirmed finds. Monetization is realistic: affiliate links where available, plus a small subscription for advanced alerts and price-history access.
