MasjidLedger

MasjidLedger is a web app (with an optional mobile companion) that helps mosques and Islamic nonprofits manage Sharia-compliant financial governance without drowning in spreadsheets. It provides structured workflows for zakat intake and distribution, sadaqah and restricted donations, waqf asset tracking, and vendor payments with configurable “halal/ethical” checks and documentation requirements. The product focuses on transparency: every disbursement can be tied to eligibility criteria, approval steps, receipts, and donor restrictions, producing audit-ready reports and board-friendly dashboards. An AI layer can auto-categorize transactions, flag missing documentation, and draft donor updates—while keeping humans in control for religious and legal decisions. Realistically, success depends on nailing onboarding and integrations with existing accounting tools; otherwise, mosques will not switch. The MVP should target small-to-mid mosques first, not enterprise Islamic charities.
