MathMist

MathMist is a mobile + web AI app that helps kids (ages 7–13) learn math by focusing on the exact moment they get something wrong. Instead of giving another generic explanation, it asks one quick diagnostic question to identify the misconception (place value, regrouping, fraction sense, etc.), then delivers a 60–120 second “micro-lesson” with one worked example and two practice problems. Parents and teachers get a simple dashboard showing recurring error patterns, not just scores, so they can intervene efficiently. The app avoids long videos and gamification bloat; it’s built for short, repeatable sessions that fit homework time. It supports photo input of worksheets, but only uses it to extract the problem and the child’s answer—then teaches the underlying concept. Realistically, it won’t replace tutoring, but it can reduce how often kids get stuck and melt down.
