MedGuideRx

MedGuideRx is a clinician-facing pharmacogenomics (PGx) decision-support app that turns a patient’s genetic test report into practical, medication-specific guidance. Clinicians upload or import a PGx PDF (or structured lab data), and the app extracts key variants, maps them to CPIC/DPWG recommendations, and generates an actionable summary: drugs to avoid, dose adjustments, and monitoring notes. It also flags high-risk gene–drug pairs (e.g., CYP2C19–clopidogrel) and produces a concise note that can be pasted into the EHR. This is not a replacement for clinical judgment; it’s a workflow tool to reduce missed PGx insights and save time. The MVP should focus on a narrow set of high-impact medications (cardiology, psychiatry, pain) and expand only when accuracy and liability controls are solid.
