MedRelay

MedRelay is a patient-facing portal aggregator that pulls messages, lab results, appointments, and billing alerts from multiple health systems into one clean inbox. Most patients don’t have “one portal”—they have three to eight, each with different logins, notification settings, and missing context. MedRelay focuses on the unglamorous but real problem: missed results and forgotten follow-ups caused by portal fragmentation. It connects via supported APIs where available (FHIR/SMART), and where not, it uses secure email/SMS forwarding rules and patient-authorized document import to centralize updates. A lightweight AI layer summarizes new results in plain language, highlights “needs action” items (schedule, refill, pay, respond), and creates a simple checklist—without pretending to diagnose. The product is a mobile app + web app, and it’s a combination traditional + AI app.
