MedsOnPaws

MedsOnPaws is a mobile app (with a lightweight web dashboard) that helps pet owners actually follow through on medication plans—especially for chronic conditions like allergies, arthritis, heart disease, diabetes, and post-surgery recovery. Users scan a prescription label or vet discharge sheet, and the app converts it into a clear schedule with dose amounts, timing, and “with food” instructions. It sends persistent reminders, tracks adherence, and flags when doses are missed repeatedly. Owners can log side effects (vomiting, lethargy, itching) with quick taps and share a clean timeline report with their vet before follow-ups. The app also manages multi-pet households, supports rotating meds, and estimates when refills are needed based on dose and pill count. This is not a tele-vet replacement; it’s an execution tool for the plan that already exists. Monetization is a freemium model: free for one pet and basic reminders; paid for multi-pet, refill forecasting, exportable reports, and caregiver sharing. Realistically, success depends on tight UX, reliable notifications, and partnerships with clinics/pharmacies; without those, it becomes “yet another reminder app.”
