MedVariant is a web + mobile AI-assisted app that converts raw pharmacogenomics (PGx) lab reports into actionable, clinician-friendly medication guidance. Patients upload a PDF or connect their lab portal; the app extracts key variants (e.g., CYP2D6, CYP2C19, SLCO1B1) and maps them to evidence-based dosing/avoidance notes using CPIC/FDA labeling references. It produces a one-page “Medication Risk & Alternatives” summary patients can share with their doctor or pharmacist, plus plain-language explanations to reduce confusion and misinterpretation. The app is realistic about limits: it does not prescribe, and it flags when evidence is weak or when clinical context (age, liver function, interactions) dominates genetics. Revenue comes from a patient subscription and a clinician seat for streamlined report generation and documentation. Biggest challenge is trust: the product must be transparent, cite sources, and be conservative to avoid harm.
