MeetMinute
MeetMinute is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps residents, journalists, and civic staff track what actually happens in local government meetings. It ingests public meeting videos or audio (YouTube links, municipal streams, or uploaded files), generates a time-stamped transcript, and extracts agenda items, motions, votes, and action items into a clean, shareable record. Users can follow specific topics (zoning, policing, school board), get alerts when those topics are discussed, and clip/share exact moments with citations. The app also maintains a “promise tracker” that links commitments made in meetings to later follow-ups, making it harder for decisions to disappear into hours of video. Realistically, the hardest part is data access: some municipalities publish clean feeds; many don’t. The product must work even when inputs are inconsistent and incomplete.
