MeltIndex is a web + mobile app for plastics labs and processors to run, document, and compare Melt Flow Index (MFI/MFR) tests with fewer mistakes and less rework. It guides technicians through ISO 1133/ASTM D1238 workflows, captures instrument settings, sample conditioning, operator notes, and automatically flags out-of-spec inputs (temperature, load, preheat time, cut interval). Results are stored with traceability (lot, supplier, machine, shift) and can be exported as customer-ready COA-style reports. A light AI layer reads photos of instrument printouts and handwritten log sheets to digitize results, then highlights anomalies versus historical baselines for the same resin grade. This is not a “new science” app; it’s a practical compliance-and-consistency tool that replaces spreadsheets and inconsistent paper logs, improving repeatability and audit readiness.
