MemoirProof

MemoirProof is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps memoir and narrative non-fiction writers validate claims, dates, locations, and names before publication. You paste chapters or upload a manuscript, then tag statements as “claim candidates.” The app cross-checks timelines, flags inconsistencies (e.g., impossible travel times, age/date mismatches), and suggests what evidence you should have on file (photos, emails, calendars, public records, articles). It also generates a “verification packet” you can export for editors, agents, or legal review: claim list, sources, confidence notes, and unresolved risks. This is an AI-assisted workflow, but it’s not magic: it’s a structured checklist and evidence manager with AI doing the tedious extraction, clustering, and contradiction detection. The goal is fewer embarrassing corrections, fewer legal scares, and faster editorial cycles.
