MenuMargin is a web app with a lightweight mobile companion for casual dining operators who are tired of guessing which dishes actually make money. It pulls POS item sales, recipe/ingredient costs, and labor assumptions into a single weekly “profit map” that shows true contribution margin by menu item, daypart, and promo. The app flags margin leaks (over-portioning, modifier abuse, comp patterns, price-cost drift) and suggests specific actions: raise price by $0.50, remove low-margin sides from combos, swap ingredients, or adjust prep batches to reduce waste. It also produces a simple one-page manager checklist for the week (what to 86 early, what to push, what to prep less). This is not a generic analytics dashboard; it’s a decision tool designed for busy GMs who have 10 minutes, not 10 hours.
