MenuMile
MenuMile is a mobile + web app that helps diners and restaurants verify and communicate “local and seasonal” claims with receipts-level proof. Restaurants upload invoices (or connect their POS/accounting exports) and tag items to menu dishes; the app calculates a simple “local radius” and seasonal score per dish based on supplier addresses and harvest windows. Diners scan a QR on the menu to see what’s truly local today, what’s imported, and what’s in-season in their region—without reading a manifesto. It’s not a feel-good badge generator: if a restaurant can’t provide documentation, the dish is marked “unverified.” The product is realistic because it targets a narrow segment first: independent restaurants that already market farm-to-table and need credibility to justify pricing. Over time, it can expand into catering, campuses, and small chains with standardized reporting.
