MenuProof

MenuProof is a mobile + web app (AI + traditional) for restaurant discovery that focuses on one thing most apps fail at: what you can actually eat. Users set dietary rules (gluten-free, low FODMAP, halal, allergies, macros) and the app ranks nearby restaurants by “menu fit” using real menu text, not vague tags. It pulls menus from official sources where possible, then uses AI to parse ingredients, flag likely cross-contamination risks, and highlight safe options with confidence levels. Instead of generic star ratings, reviews are structured around specific dishes and dietary outcomes (“ate the chicken pho, no reaction”). The MVP avoids trying to be another Yelp: it’s a decision tool for people with constraints. Monetization is subscription for advanced filters and “verified menu” alerts, plus optional restaurant tools to keep menus updated.
