MenuTrace

MenuTrace is a mobile + web app that helps restaurants and small seafood suppliers document and verify “sustainable seafood” claims with evidence, not vibes. Restaurants upload invoices, species names, catch/harvest method, and origin; suppliers confirm with digital attestations and optional certificate uploads (MSC/ASC/BAP, etc.). The app generates a simple, customer-facing QR page per menu item showing what’s known, what’s missing, and a confidence score—so greenwashing is harder. It also flags high-risk species/regions and suggests lower-impact substitutes when documentation is weak. This is not a magic “blockchain solves it” product; it’s lightweight compliance and transparency tooling aimed at the messy reality of fragmented supply chains. Revenue comes from restaurant subscriptions and supplier seats, with a free tier for basic QR pages.
