MergeMeter

MergeMeter is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams bot) that measures and explains why pull requests stall. It ingests PR events from GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket and turns them into actionable “latency budgets” per repo, team, and reviewer: time-to-first-review, re-review loops, comment churn, and merge wait. It flags bottlenecks like overloaded reviewers, PRs too large to review quickly, missing test signals, or unclear ownership. Instead of generic dashboards, it generates weekly, concrete recommendations (e.g., adjust CODEOWNERS, split PRs over X LOC, rotate reviewer duty, enforce draft PR usage) and tracks whether changes reduce cycle time. This is not a magic AI code reviewer; it’s a workflow analytics tool with light AI summarization for insights and status updates. Realistically, success depends on tight integrations and credible metrics, not flashy “AI review” claims.
