MergeMeter is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that helps couples design and maintain a “fair” financial system without endless arguments. Instead of generic budgeting, it focuses on contribution fairness: income, unpaid labor, childcare time, debt, and risk tolerance. Users connect accounts, categorize spending, and then choose a model (50/50, proportional, fixed-allowance, or hybrid). The AI layer flags emerging imbalance (“one partner’s discretionary spend rising while shared goals slip”), drafts neutral conversation prompts, and suggests adjustments (e.g., raise shared transfer by $120, reduce dining by $80, rebalance sinking funds). It also includes a lightweight “money meeting” flow with agendas, decisions, and follow-ups so agreements don’t evaporate. This isn’t therapy; it’s a structured system that makes expectations explicit, tracks adherence, and reduces the emotional load of managing shared finances.
