MergeSentry

MergeSentry is a web app (with optional desktop agent) that sits alongside an existing Master Patient Index and prevents duplicate records from being created or incorrectly merged. It ingests ADT/registration events via HL7 v2 and FHIR, runs deterministic rules plus lightweight AI-assisted similarity scoring, and routes only the ambiguous cases to human review. The product focuses on operational reality: registrar workflows, incomplete demographics, nicknames, data-entry errors, and multi-facility identity collisions. It provides a queue-based “merge/no-merge” workbench, audit trails, and measurable KPIs (duplicate rate, time-to-resolution, downstream claim denials tied to identity issues). It’s not trying to replace Epic/Cerner MPI; it’s a pragmatic add-on that reduces cleanup work and lowers clinical risk.
