MeterMinder
MeterMinder is a web + mobile app that connects to a home’s smart meter/utility interval data (where available) and turns confusing kWh charts into a weekly to-do list. It flags abnormal usage patterns (e.g., HVAC short-cycling, overnight baseload creep, sudden step-changes after a new appliance) and estimates likely causes with confidence levels, not fake certainty. Users get simple experiments: “Run a 30-minute HVAC-only test,” “Check water heater schedule,” or “Unplug these two suspected always-on devices,” then the app verifies impact using before/after meter data. It also supports manual inputs for homes without smart-meter access, but the value is lower and the app is honest about that. Monetization is subscription plus optional one-time “energy audit pack” reports for landlords and small property managers.
