MethodMint
MethodMint is a web app (with optional desktop companion) that helps researchers standardize and share experimental protocols with the level of detail that actually drives reproducibility. Users import a protocol from Word/PDF/Markdown, then the app guides them through a structured checklist: exact reagent identifiers, lot numbers, instrument models, calibration settings, environmental conditions, timing tolerances, and exclusion criteria. It generates a clean, versioned “method card” with a machine-readable export (JSON) and a human-friendly PDF, plus a dependency list for reagents and equipment. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI assists with parsing and suggesting missing fields, but the user must confirm everything. Realistically, it won’t magically fix bad science; it just reduces preventable ambiguity and makes methods easier to audit, replicate, and onboard new lab members.
