MetricProof

MetricProof is a web app (with optional mobile viewer) for government performance dashboards that forces every KPI to be traceable to a source dataset, definition, and update log. Instead of pretty charts that nobody trusts, each metric has a “proof card” showing: data origin (open data portal, finance system export, CSV), calculation formula, last refresh time, and a change history of definitions. It includes a lightweight ETL that pulls from common civic sources (Socrata/CKAN, Google Sheets, S3) and flags stale or broken pipelines. The public-facing dashboard is fast, accessible, and designed for non-technical residents, while internal staff get alerts, QA checks, and approval workflows before publishing. This is not a magic transparency tool—if the underlying data is bad, it will expose that—but that’s the point: credibility through auditability.
