MetricSentry

MetricSentry is a web app (with optional Slack/Teams integration) that acts as a “metric contract” layer between data teams and business stakeholders. It monitors critical KPIs end-to-end: definition drift (filters/joins changing), pipeline freshness, source anomalies, and dashboard inconsistencies across BI tools. When something breaks or silently changes, it alerts owners with a plain-English explanation, impact radius (which dashboards/teams are affected), and a suggested fix or rollback path. It also provides a governed metric catalog that ties each KPI to its SQL/semantic definition, owners, SLAs, and acceptable variance ranges. This is not another dashboarding tool; it’s the guardrail that makes existing dashboards trustworthy. Realistically, the buyer is the analytics/data leader who is tired of firefighting “numbers don’t match” escalations and wants fewer executive surprises without rebuilding the entire stack.
