MetroLedger
MetroLedger is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for metropolitan governance teams to track, compare, and coordinate budgets, projects, and performance across multiple jurisdictions (city, county, transit authority, special districts). It ingests budget PDFs, council packets, and capital improvement plans, then normalizes line items into a shared chart of accounts so leaders can see duplicative spend, unfunded mandates, and cross-border dependencies. The AI layer extracts entities, amounts, timelines, and KPIs, flags inconsistencies, and drafts plain-language summaries for executives and the public. The product is realistic: it won’t “solve politics,” but it will reduce the manual spreadsheet chaos and meeting churn that slows metro collaboration. It includes permissioned workspaces, audit trails, and exportable reports for grant applications and interlocal agreements.
