MezzeMap is a mobile + web app that helps people find authentic Middle Eastern dishes at nearby restaurants, not just “Middle Eastern” as a vague label. Users search by dish (mansaf, koshari, fesenjan, manakeesh, molokhia), regional style (Levant, Gulf, Egyptian, Persian, Kurdish, Armenian), and dietary needs. Each listing includes dish-level photos, ingredient notes, spice level, and “authenticity signals” like house-made bread, regional menu depth, and community verification. The app also supports short, structured reviews focused on specific dishes rather than overall restaurant vibes. It’s a traditional app with light AI: AI helps normalize dish names/spellings, translate menus, and detect duplicate items, but doesn’t pretend to be a chef. Monetization is straightforward: sponsored dish placements, premium profiles for restaurants, and affiliate delivery links where available.
