MicroBurst is a mobile + web app that delivers jobsite-level thunderstorm and wind-gust risk alerts for construction, utilities, events, and field crews. Instead of generic city forecasts, it fuses radar nowcasting, lightning proximity, and short-horizon wind estimates into simple “go/no-go” guidance with a confidence score and a countdown to impact. Users can pin multiple sites, set crew-specific thresholds (e.g., crane wind limits, lightning radius rules), and generate an incident log that documents why work was paused or resumed. It’s an AI-assisted app: AI helps translate meteorological signals into plain-language operational recommendations and reduces false alarms by learning each site’s tolerance and outcomes. Realistically, accuracy will never be perfect; the value is faster, clearer decisions and better documentation, not “predicting weather flawlessly.”
