MilkMargin is a mobile + web app that calculates true profitability at the cow group level by combining milk checks, feed prices, ration changes, health events, and labor/time assumptions. Most dairies track output (lbs, SCC, pregnancy rate) but struggle to translate daily decisions into dollars—especially when feed costs swing and milk price volatility hits. The app ingests milk processor statements (PDF/CSV), pulls commodity prices, and lets users log ration updates and major events (fresh pen, treatment, culls). It outputs a simple “margin dashboard” by pen/group with alerts when margin drops beyond a threshold and a weekly action list (e.g., investigate ration drift, check refusals, review cull strategy). This is not a magic optimizer; it’s a practical, auditable margin tracker that makes meetings with nutritionists and vets more data-driven without requiring a full farm management suite replacement.
