MimeKeyVault

MimeKeyVault is a web app with a lightweight desktop agent that centralizes S/MIME certificate lifecycle management for organizations that still rely on Outlook/Exchange, Microsoft 365, and mixed device fleets. It inventories who has which cert, where it’s installed, when it expires, and whether encryption/signing actually works end-to-end. The desktop agent handles secure key import/export, profile installation, and validation tests without forcing admins to remote into machines. The web console provides policy rules (who must sign, who may encrypt, minimum key sizes), automated renewal workflows with supported CAs, and alerting that’s more actionable than “cert expiring soon.” This is not a magic “make S/MIME easy” promise—S/MIME remains messy—but it reduces the operational overhead and outages caused by expired/misplaced certs and broken client configs. It’s a traditional app with optional AI assistance for troubleshooting and ticket summarization.
