MinyanPing

MinyanPing is a mobile + web app that helps synagogues and community organizers reliably assemble a minyan for Shacharit/Mincha/Ma'ariv, shiva minyanim, and last-minute needs. Instead of messy WhatsApp chains, it uses opt-in availability, location radius, and role tags (Kohen/Levi/Yisrael, can lead, has car, wheelchair access) to send targeted pings to the right people. Organizers see a live headcount, confirmations, and ETA estimates, and can automatically broaden the radius if they’re short. Members control privacy with coarse location (neighborhood-level) and quiet hours. It also supports recurring minyan schedules, one-tap “I’m in” responses, and a lightweight reputation system (show-up reliability) to reduce no-shows. This is not glamorous, but it solves a recurring logistical headache that communities actually feel weekly.
