MirrorMute

MirrorMute is a mobile AI + traditional app that helps users reduce body-image spirals without pretending insecurity disappears overnight. It works like a “pattern interrupter” for the moments that actually derail people: getting dressed, taking photos, gym mirrors, social scrolling, dating profile anxiety. Users log quick triggers (mirror check, outfit regret, comparison scroll), then the app delivers short, evidence-based interventions: timed mirror exposure scripts, self-compassion prompts that aren’t cringe, and “good-enough outfit” decision rules. A private photo vault lets users practice viewing photos with guided reframes and gradual exposure, not forced positivity. Weekly reports show which situations spike checking/avoidance and what interventions reduce it. It’s not therapy, but it’s closer to behavioral coaching than affirmations, and it’s designed to be used in 60–120 seconds when you’re already stressed.
