MitzvahMap
MitzvahMap is a mobile + web app that helps Reform congregations coordinate volunteer-driven care and social action without drowning staff in emails and spreadsheets. Members can browse vetted opportunities (meals for a family, rides to services, tutoring, shelter shifts, advocacy events), claim slots, and get reminders. Clergy and volunteer captains can post needs, set eligibility (background check required, training needed), cap capacity, and track fulfillment. The app also supports “micro-mitzvot” for low-commitment members, and integrates with calendar links so people actually show up. This is a traditional app with a light AI layer: AI suggests optimal scheduling, detects duplicate requests, and drafts clear, inclusive opportunity descriptions. The goal is simple: increase participation and follow-through while reducing the coordination burden that burns out a small number of reliable volunteers.
