MixGuard

MixGuard is a desktop app (VST3/AU plugin + standalone) that runs automated “mix QC” checks in real time and after bounce. It flags issues that commonly cause revisions: clipping and inter-sample peaks, mono compatibility collapses, harsh resonances, masking between vocal and instruments, excessive sibilance, low-end phase problems, and loudness/true-peak noncompliance for streaming targets. It doesn’t try to mix for you; it gives actionable diagnostics with timestamps, frequency ranges, and plain-language fixes (e.g., “2.8–4.2 kHz harshness spikes when chorus hits; likely cymbal/vocal overlap”). Reports can be exported as a client-ready PDF or a checklist for assistants. The goal is fewer embarrassing misses, fewer back-and-forth revisions, and faster delivery—especially for freelancers juggling many projects and inconsistent monitoring environments.
